Gilpin Mountain Kids Early Learning Center is a nonprofit childcare center serving infants, wobblers, and toddlers in Gilpin County and our surrounding mountain communities. We are committed to providing dependable, high-quality care in a safe and welcoming environment where children can learn, grow, and build strong relationships. As a community-based nonprofit, we value open communication, strong family partnerships, and creating a center our mountain community can trust and be proud of.

Our team is made up of dedicated early childhood professionals who care deeply about the children and families they serve. Under the leadership of Executive Director Kelly Smith, Gilpin Mountain Kids is placing a renewed focus on teacher support, professional development, and continued growth. We believe that when teachers feel supported and have opportunities to build their skills, they can create stronger classrooms, meaningful learning experiences, and consistent care for every child.

Gilpin Mountain Kids offers early learning programs for infants, wobblers, and toddlers, with care designed around each stage of development. Our classrooms give children opportunities to learn through play, build social and emotional skills, develop independence, and form strong relationships with their teachers and peers. We work closely with families to provide consistent routines and individualized support as each child grows.
